They would if it's the best offer and they're set on moving him. Hall got two 2nds last year. Throw another pick in there if it warms your heart.

Lol ya that’s two mid prospects and a first. What do ya expect for a rental at the deadline? Relax.

A rental at 27 years old in his prime? Nah, Nashville would be stupid to let him go.

Bad comparison.

Hall signed a NMC and wasn't playing well so for 4M at 50% retention, there was not a lot of suitors.

Forsberg would be 3M at 50% retention and is over a PPG this season on a team that has expressed interest in resigning him (whether that means anything or it's just generating interest it doesn't matter).

Nashville is going to have many more offers to field and IMO someone is able to top this.

I can see them getting more than that, and I don’t even think they should trade him but I just didn’t agree with the original comment saying Nashville would never agree to this. To me that was just a reaction cause it’s a leafs offer. At worst it’s a good start point that needs a better prospect but it’s not an insulting offer.

I mean sure it’s not insulting but it’s not enough. FF is a 27 year old 25-35 goal scorer with size. Sure he’s in his last year but you’re also asking Nashville to retain 3M. They are also in the playoff hunt as well so would be highly unlikely that they would retain anything if they were to even trade him.
I think you would need to blow their socks off to get FF at 3M retention. Something like 1st + one of Knies or Niemela + and a roster player

You’re way off base I think man. You’re over thinking the retention. Cost a 4th lost year for cbj to retain on foligno. Nashville doesn’t have to retain a third team could do that.
He’s still worth a lot but the retention doesn’t drive up his value like crazy.
I get they are in a playoff spot but if they don’t know if he can be signed and would rather trade him, it doesn’t matter.
I don’t know if any team in the league would trade their top prospect, a first and a roster play for a rental.
A first and two B prospects is probably what he gets.

I’ll say again tho they should just keep him and sign him.
