If the Leafs consider Robertson and Niemela to be slated for the NHL, I think I'd rather just trade 3 1sts.

The odds you pick 2 high-ish end prospects with 3 late first rounders is about the same as with 2nd rounders.

Less than that. 1st and a top prospect for sure. After that maybe a player and a 2nd/3rd depending on the top prospect and other player

Yeah I see your point. I guess it depends what the Coyotes are interested in, they already have *checks notes* 1400 draft picks this year, maybe they'd want something other than a mystery bag at this point

Yes, this is a good point. They likely have other suitors, like LA, that would be willing to trade some good young pieces.

That might be playing value for Chychrum....but don't think it's trade value for the Leafs. It's over the if Muzzin returns this season and WAY over the cap next season. Really with the Leafs pretty solid at LHD, Chychun isn't a good fit for the Leafs compared to some other teams.

I heard the yotes are playing Chychrun on the right as a showcase kind of thing to up his value, in any case, I think this trade wouldnt happen without more clarity on the muzzin situation

I would assume the Yotes want bodies for next year - they valued Ritchie for that reason and his upside-down contract is usually something small-budget teams don't take.

Does Arizona want young players though? I feel like draft picks are more valuable due to the extra year or two they have before they start burning ELC years. By then, they'll hopefully have an arena and a better fan support than drunk college kids?

I am choosing to leave the arena stuff out of my trade considerations but you make a good point.

To the contrary tho, they need a fun team in order to incentivize people to watch. If the team sucks for their entire ASU tenure then the new arena might be an issue.

That'd probably do it I'd say. Yeesh!

No way he comes here and plays on the bottom pair though.

My favourite part is how you had the thought to put in “bad spelling” vs actually spelling it right.
