Wouldn’t put a lot of thought into that game. Goaltending obviously wasn’t good, but they still won. The team’s been battling a sickness going around and maybe the goalies had symptoms of it - we don’t know.

Positives:
Matthews line was dominant.
Robertson looked great.
The new defensive pairings actually weren’t too bad.
& they fought the adversity off and still won.

Take it as a lesson and move on from it, don’t overreact so fast.

I mean yes but on the other hand...

The adversity they had to overcome was their own goaltending, and

The goaltending has been bad for a significant stretch now

And on the Matthews line... my god Bunting looks better than Hyman ever did as a Leaf

It’s not just one game. Soupy hasn’t made a save since November, his numbers are completely propped up by 2 months of good hockey. He’s a career backup and it’s not fair to him that the leafs expect so much out of him.

I’ve been saying the goaltending was an issue for 3 1/2 months now & people on here wanna give Campbell $6M aav for 6 years cause Markstrom got it 😂

Lol to be fair people wanted to give him that when he was a leading Vezina candidate... I had bet him Vezina at the start of the year and cashed him out as the favourite in late December

Because fans are too quick to judge players on here. Campbell had a hot 18 game stretch and he’s been garbage since

He was good last year too but yea. They're asking too much of him. My pipedream is that they get Fleury and have Campbell behind him

Chicago would be crazy not to accept this, if Fleury was willing to play in Toronto.

That Miller trade would work well for Buffalo.
Engvall, could allow Buffalo to trade Olofsson to another team.
Dermott, is by far the worse TML defense man and would be immediately sent to Rochester.
Abramov, seems to be an AHL player.
2024 3rd round pick other than Engvall the only value of the trade.
