Pens decline. Maybe a Kapanen Sundqvist swap?

Edmonton declines on the pretense of trading Broberg, St. Louis isn't going to want to move Husso until the postseason has ended.

Not sure Edmonton has much interest in Scandella unless Kassian is headed the other way.

Kapanen can play the PK. Not too worried about that.

Going to have to add more if you want Dallas to trade Pavelski to a hated division rival. Perunovich is a solid start though but I find it hard to believe that the Blues would part with him.

I can assure you that if you are in fact a blues fan, these trades are not blue fan worthy. They are arguably a downgrade in every single way.

I can assure you that the 3 blues fans on this site that comment on every blues transaction are in love with B minus prospects and wouldn’t know an upgrade if it smacked them in the face…

Kostin and Perunovich to a division rival for a 37 year old rental. Yah he can put up points, but this entire deal is structured around renting a playoff caliber player at the longterm expense of the blues. If we were really going to make this kind of move, it would be Giroux.

Trading to Edmonton takes away our starting goaltender. If Binnington had been back in the saddle a month ago, it would still be rolling the dice on this post season.

While I'd be willing to take the Pitt deal. I'm only considering it in the offseason.

Pavelski has more points than anyone on the Blues currently and ups his game even more in the playoffs. Giroux will end up on the Avs. Perunovich might be good but has never done anything in nhl yet and is redundant with Krug on Blues. The trade with Edm gets the Blues a soon to be top 4 dman for a goalie who has been awesome this year but Husso and Binnington won’t be on same team next year. Still think Binnington would be the guy in playoffs. Edm has to do something in goal to appease McDavid, or he’ll be gone as soon as he gets the chance. Lastly I don’t want to trade Sunny but need cap space in the scenario and Sid loves him so just picked Penguins. Trades also gives Blues future picks/pieces for trade in off-season (Calgary).
