making smart moves

Team: 2021-22 San Jose Sharks
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 27, 2022

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
this is a real re-tool for next year!
we give up Hertl Reimer and Barabanov, and those 3 hurt…
but we get Samsonov who i’m high on being a quality netminder, Eller amd Kerfoot who are quality middle 6 guys and Lindqvist who would solidify our RD Depth and could push Burns to RW if we need to. and the icing on the cake here is NYR will only have enough to either sign Hert or Strome but not both so whichever one they don’t sign we grab in the offseason, and if needed Barabanov would most likely be available this offseason as Washington will be up against the cap again next season.

Additional Details:
saw multiple Toronto deals involving Kerfoot for 2 3rds. so a 2nd and Nieto seems more than fair, Toronto gets a solid bottom 6 guy for almost league min for the rest of this year and next who is also a top PK specialist in the league, and a 2nd for a guy quite a few on here were trading for 2-3rds.

Rangers deal I’m completely in favor of…if Strome was to be included up front. Would you be good with Strome lundkvist and a 2nd?

yes, but i think Strome would be better set with your team now as he would be a huge plus in the playoffs and with Hertl this team is cup worthy.

Not a huge Strome guy myself I’d rather have chytil and hertl and bring in another winger in another trade. Imo

Just was seeing if that worked. Good either way.

but if you can get a top line center and give yourself the best chance to resign him than it would be smart and something lots of teams have done over the years!

I think he is underrated, but i see your point, but the sharks would opt for more futures rather than pick up another pending FA, we aren’t going anywhere this year but should be playoff caliber next year.
