Seems like a lot for Jarnkrok. Sakic can probably find a similar quality player for quite a bit cheaper. Thats what hes done in the Namestnikov/Brassard/Wilson deals

I like Blackwell a lot, but Johansson played well for us a few years ago so if they’re demanding the same price I’d probably want MoJo back.

I like the jarnkrok pickup actually but I'd make it a conditional 2nd; 3rd in 2023 if he doesn't resign or maybe just trade jost for jarnkrok straight up... ?

I like the player but the price of a 2nd + prospect is too much. Id do a 3rd for him - teams arent allowed to make conditions based on players re-signing anymore anyway

I think your underrating Jarnkrok, I mean bowers doesn’t have to be in the deal, he has almost no value so I was just trying to get some youth in Seattle’s system

In that case I agree a 2nd plus bowers (who btw will never get a chance to play in Colorado anyways) is too much but the more I think about it like the jost for jarnkrok straight up deal. Jost has this and next year on his contract but he'll just never be the player we need and for a cup run this year I'd love to have jarnkrok over him

I get that Jarnkrok is good but look at how many players could be available this year. Its definitely a buyers market and Sakic has shown he can find good players for cheap in the past. He can afford to be very picky with his trade targets and prices

Forwards who could be available:

Giroux
Hertl
Pavelski
Forsberg
Miller
Zacha
Domi
Kessel
Hagel
Copp
Stastny
Rakell
Radulov
Lehkonen
DeBrusk
Jarnkrok
Tippett
Hoffman
Stastny
Clutterbuck
Parise
Carpenter
Brassard
Cogliano
Johansson
Blackwell
Tierney
Sanford
Namestnikov
etc
