You’re assuming everyone pans out in this ACGM? Why would that be considered a failure in your opinion?

If everyone pans out, and turns into the player they are supposed to, this could be a good team in the future. I doubt everyone will though, just because of the development issues, but you never know. Some may, but I don’t think all of them will. Also, they may get desperate and trade some of their top prospects.

Like maybe not Chytil cuz he’s had enough time . But is it this team enough to win with Strome at 2C? I’m not sure. If Kakko becomes a 50pt 2 way winger and Lafreniere becomes a 65-70pt winger .

Well in my book if Kakko and Lafreniere become that productive then that’s kinda already successful by default to me. Any team can make a run in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and that’s been exemplified year after year.

Like there’s this constant pressure of needing to acquire a 2C. I’m just wondering if it will be enough to win without

pressure from where, capfriendly? not exactly real world pressure.
where are the stats that support Strome not being a competent 2C? i'd like to see that.

Considering Laf has been primarily compared to Huberdeau. The difference between Huberdeaus season 1 and 2 to 3/4/5 there’s a solid jump in improving and not that Laf is getting appropriate mins & linemates. No concerns. Kakko… ditto. The D here are doing great considering age/development. We desperately need people to continue to think Laf is a bust though just to get him sign on a friendly bridge. Hopefully Korczak works out or we draft a C in this year’s draft. That’s pretty much the hope to fill the void of 2C if they don’t sign a proper 2C

Our biggest issue is Faceoffs for possession at 2C & 3C. Strome and Chytil might be just fine at C but they are awful at the dot and it causes valuable talent to play D instead of O.

That’s a good explanation. Yeah they definitely need a good 2 way 3C like Pageau, Dvorak, Danault etc
