Easy no for Minnesota. We don't need to trade rask. Nor are we taking on Christian Dvorak whose not any better than what we have. A player who hasn't played 1 game since January 26 because of mysterious injury. The kings very much say no also

No thanks. Hoffman is good on the PP but is pretty bad at everything else. Hes a net negative player and his cap hit would prevent COL from signing a real 2nd line forward in the offseason

Dvorak isn’t a center the wild would target.

Hoffman was a one trick pony, now he is only good for playing dead. Avs decline. Emphatically. They wouldn’t trade Jost for Hoffman straight up.

I find your emphatic no to the only actual trade that is real made me lol! Our pick in the Dvorak deal is top 10 protected so I don't see any way we don't get it back.

As for the two you questioned:

I think Toronto could use Chiarot as depth for a playoff run. The idea is what the Bolts did last year with Savard. You get a depth defenseman that can play up and down the lineup as an insurance policy. Injuries happen.

As for the Habs acquiring Klingberg, that's more of a fantasy scenario where all the other previous deals happen and the team is flush with picks but no roster players really. The idea is you bring him in as a superior Petry replacement and sign him to a big long contract in the hopes you can rebuild quickly enough to still have him in his prime.

Hope this answers your questions, and explains my crazy logic a bit!

Thanks for the feedback,

G

I simply miscounted the No's in all honesty. The dramatic "NO" was meant for the LA trade

I can see Chairot fetching the hefty price he's getting here and rumored to get. But I firmly believe he's not nearly worth it

I see the logic behind the Klingberg trade but I think a team like Montreal should be maximize assets, not trade them for rental who's gonna want a big payday. I think it would make more sense to just gun for him in free agency. The only benefit of acquiring him here is seeing just how well he actually fits but I think if you're going after any guy regardless of who and when, you should already know how/where they're gonna fit your scheme at the very least
