Not only are the Blues not trading Husso, but they sure as hell are not solving a potential playoff foe's major malfunction while doing it. Or accepting that trash offer that does nothing for them. HUsso is not available, folks. Write it down.

Bertuzzi can't play in Canada yet, So Detroit declines, While Broberg is nice he and a 1st round pick aren't enough for Bertuzzi especially eating $2,000,000 Yzerman wants more for Bertuzzi then what he got for Mantha and this alone doesn't cut it.

I get that blues are unlikely to move husso but don’t to call the offer trash. A former first round pick young winger with cost control is a very solid offer for a pending ufa goalie that has very little nhl experience. The offer is very aggressive and from an oilers point of view doesn’t make sense. If trying to fix goaltending with an inexperienced going to go with skinner.

The blues need the goalie more than a winger. Bert for that isn't bad but I wouldn't retain cash on him.

The Blues have no use for a scoring winger, let alone a tiny one who can't score even though he's played tons of time with Drai and McDavid. Yamamoto would be a depth piece on this Blues team, and probably not even the first one they'd call on. For a potential playoff opponent to offer that for the hottest goalie in the league is quite trash-like.

Swap Broberg for Holloway and its a deal. No salary retainage though.

Detroit needs forward prospects. Our defense prospect pool is solid.

The Blues are in a good position at net and arguably one of the best goalie tandems in the league. They want to win a cup, not get more scoring where that’s a strength of theirs.

I agree Bertuzzi is worth more.

Yamamoto would be playing on our 4th line. How does that help the blues at all trading Husso for someone who would play on the 4th line. We don't need more forwards and we already have 9 that are performing better than Yamamoto. It's a bad offer because it does nothing to help the blues. Outside his initial season Yamamoto has been disappointing and he's been spoon-fed minutes with draisaitl.

There comes times when this site can be harsh needlessly. There is a difference between a trade not being a good fit for one team which I agree this isn’t for the blues but seems foolish and childish to turn that into trash offer when in reality it’s pretty aggressive offer. Former first round pick that has some very good qualities to his game and team control for a goalie who has very limited sample size and pending ufa. I’m not arguing or suggesting blues should do it husso today is more important for the now than yam would be just doesn’t automatically make the offer trash.
