My uncle played college hockey as a goalie, never made it higher due to some bad knee inuries, but I have his pads that he used in-game against guys like Zach Hyman. Since he was a goalie he was super involved with a whole bunch of good goalies, and so I have a whole bunch of autographs from that, dwayne rollosson being the best probably.

When i was like 8 I met rick vaive at an alumni game and rick asked me "Hey pal, can I ask you something?" im sitting there all starstruck just nodding, and he goes "Do you know what cows drink?" and i just mumbled "milk", and he goes "No, water!" He was a super nice guy, even tho I only talked with him for like two minutes.


I’ve met a bunch of Devils players:
The best goalie in NHL history Martin Brodeur
The snake Ilya Kovalchuk
Islanders legends Kyle Palmieri, Zach Parise, Cory Schneider and Andy Greene (Greene gave me a signed hat)
Taylor Hall (in his MVP year)
Norris winning dman PK Subban

I’m hoping to meet Hughes and Hischier soon

Singlehandedly destroyed, but we do have 2 Cups to show for it.

I hope we don't make any trades this year and watch the league burn searching for the next Goodrow/Coleman. Savard wasn't worth what we paid though IMO.

I think I read a day or so ago they'll trade for the right price, but he's not being traded just to be traded like some of the Anaheim guys might be.

The ask for Crouse, if he's moved is 1st+roster player which is wayyy too high unless the roster player is a cap dump

Savard, Goodrow and Coleman we're all overpayments but you won cups so no one cares

About 6 years ago, my family moved. In the basement of the new house, we found a whole bunch of old hockey memorabilia, including a framed, mint Ovechkin Autograph along with a certificate of authenticity, a Toronto Star newspaper from the day after Paul Henderson's historic game winning goal in the Summit Series, and a Johnny Bower Autograph, again with a certificate of authenticity. We found these among other things, but these were by far the coolest


Whoever left that stuff in your new house must have been crazy to leave it behind!

I can speak for all caps fans in saying we are incredibly jealous of that Ovi autograph. Personally, I’ve gotten a bunch of Caps ones in the past (Oshie, Wilson, Beagle, Chorney, Schmidt, Burakovsky, Langway, and May to be exact), but I’d probably trade all of those to get just one Ovechkin autograph.

Oh my.

I mean Hronek is good and all, but that seems slightly extreme. I’d take that if I’m Detroit, even if Harley and Damiani aren’t going to be top players in their org, Harley would be way better than Dekeyser and Damiani could be someone they flip next year for a better player.

One suggested a counter off of Harley, Bourque or Stankoven, a 1st and a 2nd. That’s crazily lopsided for Detroit.

Down in the NoVa there's always a chance you see one floating around (example: I got to meet Oshie for the second time at a lowkey signing at a Coast Guard exchange, and afterwards my family had gone out to Chipotle when he walked in, said hi, and got his food. Funny experience and made me like him even more), so if you ever come down here maybe you'll run into one.

In a different subject, are you going to get to go to a different Caps game this year since you missed the one vs Toronto?

yeesh. I think I might edit the original trade to be Hronek for Harley, Damiani, and a 2rd/3rd (or the original trade with the Caps 2nd rounder going to Dallas) so that Detroit avoids sending picks but if I was the Red Wings I wouldn't get too picky.

Do you have any idea what it could be worth? Its framed, and just a 7x9 photo of him skating with the puck, autographed in the center

Most likely. Probably this month but who knows. It’s my Christmas present that hasn’t happened yet

You’d get more than I’m willing to spend!

I have no idea how to evaluate autographs but my guess is someone online might give you a couple hundred for it if it’s in good condition.

Just did a quick ebay browse, and framed ones like mine run up at MINIMUM $400 CAD. Non framed are around $200

I wouldn't call the upcoming game vs. NJD "favorable." The Devils have now beaten them 12 straight times!!! This includes Monday's 7-2 beatdown/embarrassment.
