Leafs would do Braun for a 2nd w/ salary retention, Holl has value so I'd rather hang onto him than treat him as a dump

You wouldn't get anything for taking Holl. He may not be a 2nd pair defenseman but he can definitely play NHL minutes and take part on the PK. More than that, he's being paid suitably for it.

I don’t hate risto like some others may but don’t see how or where he could fit in with Edmonton.

Sorry but Barron isn’t in the cards. If it kills the deal so be it.

I wouldn't exactly hate combining both Oilers trades:

Koskinen and the pair of second round selections for Jones and Ristolainen isn't terrible value for Edmonton and Flyers fans need to recognize that they won't get half the haul they paid for Ristolainen at the deadline. The Oilers could probably throw in one of their lesser prospects too god forbid.

Well one of the seconds is still wrapped up with Keith trade so it would need altering.
If moving kosk jones or someone with nhl experience that could get passed threw waivers is very important. Idk if jones would clear but can’t risk smith skinner as a tandem without a safety net of some sort.
Risto is interesting. I wouldn’t swap out any of current options for him but might be talked into an 11/7 format as we have been seeing since woody is awesome at deploying. Niemelianen and risto would be fun to watch but do prefer 12/6 format for playoffs. If just looking for more of an insurance option for the right side Braun is my top choice. Steady safe game

Holl has rebounded nicely these past few games. Been putting up points and making smart defensive plays with Brodie. Dont see how its him + SDA + 2nd for a rental in Braun anymore lul.

Jfresh made a post of something and Oilers fans voted him in

But would he be a wise choice for Holland NO

Rn Oilers have (when healthy)

Nurse-Barrie
Keith-Ceci
Niemeläinen-Bouchard

Lets say they bring in Risto

You got

Nurse-Barrie
Keith-Ceci
Ristolinen-Bouchard

As Risto is basically the second coming of Barrie and you dont want 2 Barrie's on a blue line ever.

Holland's focus goalie.
