They are foolish people who listen to the opinions of bias blowhards who think their irrelevant depth players deserve major returns. Realistic people know what real values are. Schenn is a depth defenceman on a good team. He has been that for the past 2 seasons in Tampa. But on a team with zero good RD, he's a top 4 player. That says way more about the state of the Canucks defence than it does schenns value.

it's funny i never claimed Schenn to be a top 4 dman on a contender once, i've said over and over he is a good 3rd paring guy who can step up when there is an injury, guy pk's and his defensively responsible and can play big minutes if needed while shutting it down. if foligno got a 1st then it's not crazy to ask for a late 2nd or early 3rd

He can step up when one of the 6-7 better players ahead of him are injured. He's a replacement player. That's it. And those don't cost 2nds or even 3rds. You are dreaming and talking such a big game hoping it somehow leads to good things. It won't

I don't have an opinion, I have a conclusion based on evidence over a long time frame proving Schenn is a depth player on a good team. You have an opinion based on what you want to see happen. Emotional opinions will never work when discussing stuff from an intelligent fact base approach.
