That's not getting Hagel for the 10th thousand time. If you want to actually talk replace Abramov with Knies

I think the Islanders do that, especially depending on other possible moves. Kase gives them a solid winger, Rubins is someone they can give an audition on the left side if Chara & Greene are moved, and getting a 2nd to go with a roster player is enough to move Mayfield.

No that's the price Chicago set, Chicago isn't trading Hagel unless for a massive overpayment. Hagel's only 23 and is on pace for 50 points, Why should the Blackhawks trade him for a late 1st round pick that's probably not going to be nearly as good as he is.

The talk among insiders is a first and prospect similar to Coleman.

You know the chance of hagel getting traded is less then 20% because the Hawks aren't shopping him and have no reason to move him right? Just because teams gave unsolicited offers (that were worth more then what you have here) to the Hawks and they declined, doesn't mean all the sudden it's going to happen because you want it to right?

nearly as good as he is? he was a 6th rounder, he wasnt even supposed to be what he is, 54 career points by age 23 isnt exactly the toughest standard to meet

I'm not Kyle Davidson, but the reports are that (4) separate teams have offered a 1st and an A prospect. (Including TOR) KD turned down all 4 teams. The trade above is less than a 1st and an A prospect because Abramov is at best a B prospect.

There's a ton that goes into Hagel's value. His growth on the ice has been incredible. Last year he was Eddie Olczyk's favorite guy to talk about because his motor was non-stop and he made all the plays away from the puck. He drew a ton of penalties and while last year he wasn't converting it was only a matter of time. Well...now in year two he's converting and he's driving the play too. He's not just a recipient of being with good players. He's creating the plays. His contract is insanely team friendly in a cap constrained environment, he's an RFA at the end of the deal.

Hagel isn't getting traded unless a team meets some very high demands. We can get a 1st and Abramov two years from now and pretty easily too.

His value is around is around a first and prospect, maybe an additional later pick like goodrow. Not a top prospect and first.

im ok with that, you know its not my offer right? to suggest it will need one of our best prospects and a first rounder to pry a former 6th rounder who plays on your 3rd line is ridiculous lmao

Based on what? Abramov is a year younger and a Centre. Both have similar point production in the AHL.

I'm going to stop this right here and just come to a conclussion that you haven't watch any Blackhawks games. If you have watch any game, you'd realise how good Hagel is and how impactful he is on the ice.

That's your opinion which is fine. The point is CHI doesn't really want to trade him. THAT's why it costs so much. If you want to take a piece away from a team that doesn't really want to lose....you pay through the nose. Not just a late 1st and B prospect. The trade above is what AZ is looking for....for Crouse!

No, wrong. The talk is that the hawks have turned down 4 offers for a 1st and a top prospect. The teams reported to have made offers were the Leafs, Panthers, Devils, and Flames. Hawks likley have already turned down an offer better than this from the leafs

Sorry, should have elaborated.

At the time, Foote was 6th months removed from being a 1st round pick, was coming off of a solid WJC with Canada, and had put up good numbers in Kelowna. The "recent 1st round pick" thing was a pretty solid base here.

If you were doing something comparable, it'd be something along the lines of 1st+Knies+4th?

Edit: Plus, Hagel has an extra year.
