That ANA offer is meh. It gets outbid relatively easily.

Change Kaut to Helleson in that Giroux trade. PHI need RHD prospects.

That's a bit much for Kulak. I think 4th would suffice.

Seems a bit low for Rackell with retained salary

Thanks for the feedback

You think if it went to a 2nd that would do it for Rakell? Maybe move Kaut to this deal? Also, Jost is cost-controlled for another year so that does help, IMO.

Yeah, I missed that one on the Giroux deal but I'd do Helleson or Behrens

Avs are running short on 4ths, LOL. A 5th and a 6th?

I mean I don't think ANA has a massive need for Jost seeing how many players able to play mid-6 center they already have (Getzlaf, Henrique, Steel, Lundeström). But let's say Jost+Kaut+2nd for Rakell+Deslauriers+4th or something like that?

Helleson works just fine.

If you want that retention on Kulak, just send Beaucage. Make it 1-on-1 or something. No need to send picks since COL is already lacking in them.

Jost isn't the kind of player or prospect we're looking for in return for Rakell (nor is Compher). We're pretty full with left-handed forwards, including centers, so we'd be more interested in Beaucage, Foudy, Kaut or Olausson, depending upon the level of draft pick in the package. (Newhook and Barron are off the charts, of course, and Ranta is a LW that we don't need.)

The Philly trade is perfectly fine value. I'm pretty vocal on the fact that if they want Helleson or Barron then Joe should walk away. Anaheim I think probably reject that out of hand as too little or the Avs get outbid anyway. Beaucage plus a 5th is too much for Kulak even with some retention.

And your 2023 second-round pick should do it. I and most of my Anaheim cohorts don't think that we'll get a first plus a good prospect for Rakell.
