Could give you some mid-level wing prospects for a 5th + 7th. Anthony Louis or Kyle Baun.

I appreciate the interest, bud I'd be looking for a higher end guy. Thanks for checking in though

Probably Mittelstadt and Bergman. Even then I'd have to think about it.

Are you saying in addition to the other pieces you asked for? Because that's definitely no deal. I'm not even sure I want to move the pieces I already proposed.

I'm going to give you the breakdown of how I see the pieces you're asking for here, plus Nylander. Yours could be completely different, but this is what I think of the pieces you want to be in this trade. Feel free to try and convince me otherwise, but this is how I value them for now.

Vancouver's 2018 1st -- Should be a very high first round pick next season. Obviously with the lottery you can't guarantee the pick is going to be a top 3 pick, but they should be one of the worst teams next season, which will make the pick one with potential to land one of the three studs we've identified for next year (Dahlin, Veleno, Svechnikov). I believe the pick will be in the top 10 at worst, but I realistically see it anywhere between 1 and 7, based off of the potential worst case lottery results.

Andreas Athanasiou -- He scored 18 goals this season, but if he played the full season he could've challenged for 25. And he's not done developing. I could see 30 being a realistic mark for him in a couple years, if Detroit gets some half decent linemates around him. He's so fast and dynamic that he could be a really good 2C for a contender.

Zachary Sanford -- Potential middle-six winger, most realistic scenario is he gets around 15 goals and 35 points. I know more about him than most, since I'm a Caps fan, and I can tell you his actual gameplay was pretty good for us this year, even though the scoresheet didn't show it.

Casey Mittelstadt -- Absolute beast of a center. Having him and Keller as my 1-2 punch down the middle is one of the main focuses of my rebuild, so I'd need a lot to move him. I see him being a little over a point-per-game, best case. Realistic worst case is that he gets around 50-60 points per season, but I think he'll be a lot closer to the best case than worst case. Around 70-80 points is what I think he's going to get me.

Julius Bergman -- Potential second pairing RHD, with a good amount of offensive upside. I see him being similar to Jusitn Schultz when Letang was healthy this season. A guy that can move the puck and generate some offense, and plays solid defense against quality opponents.

William Nylander -- High scoring winger, absolute best case scenario sees him with 90 points. Worst case around 60, based off of what we've seen from him. I don't think he projects to be a center, I like him on the wing. He's obviously an extremely dynamic player, and he should only get better. But I realistically see him hovering around 75 points per season at his best. I mostly have a personal attachment to him, because I've been really invested in the Leafs the past 5 years or so. `

Here's my big concern with making this trade from my point of view -- You and I both believe Rasmus Dahlin is going to be a stud. You think he's going to be better than I do. I'd hate to give you the ticket to get him and then some, and be getting Nylander in return, simply because he's one of my favorite players.

I'm not even that big of fans of AA or Mittlestdat, I was actually going to trade them away as I only see Mittlestdat with 50 point potential, I mean he couldn't even complete 1 pull up at the scouting combine. So I see Mittlestdat as a 2C at his best, not just because of the pull up, but from what I've seen from him overall.

Give me your flat out best offer for Nylander.

Let's be honest, Nylander is as good or better than Matthews. Nylander has some of the best hands in the leauge and was a rookie last year, and is only going to get better, I believe that without Matthews, Nylander would still be as good as he is now, as he had the longest point streak in the leauge while Matthews went on a 7 game pointless streak.

Nylander isn't better than Matthews. Nylander is a damn good player, but Matthews is the far better player. In their playoff series against Washington, Nylander wasn't nearly the factor that Matthews was. I could see the argument for saying Nylander is the better playmaker, but that's it. I think Matthews has one of the best shots in the entire NHL, and he's great in all three zones.

And before I make you my best offer, I need to know what you think about the Vancouver first from a value standpoint. I'm not going to sell it as Dahlin, but that's a piece that could get a better player than Nylander alone, but it also could be a different high end prospect.

I understand it's value, but there are no guarantees, look at Yakupov, Bogosian, Griffin Reinhart, ect.

I think, if the NHL were to redraft 2014, Nylander would probably be the #1 selection of that draft. And we're talking about a draft that put out many future star players, Ehlers, Sam Reinhart, Draisaitl, Ekblad, Larkin, Fabbri, Pasternak, Dvorak, Montour, Arvidsson, and possibly Sam Bennett.

It's funny, because 2014 was looked at to be a "weak" draft year LOL.

By no means am I saying that it's a guarantee to be a good player. But I'm asking how highly you value the pick. I know it's all speculation until they've been in the NHL for a couple of years, but I saw on a forum that you think Dahlin will be one of the best players in the league in a few years. There's a better chance than most firsts available that this is Dahlin. So how highly do you value this pick?

I value it as a good piece, but again look at Columbus, they picked 3rd in 2016 and then was an amazing team.

I wouldn't value this pick as a great piece, but it is a good piece.

So if I were to offer this pick, Athanasiou, and Sprong, where do I stand? I don't want to go much higher than this.

And Columbus had a lot of pieces in place for them to be successful this season, Vancouver doesn't have a lot outside of Boeser, Horvat and Juolevi potentially

I'd need 2 more really good prospects or picks to consider it.

I'm most likely moving one of Mantha or Nylander and if I move one of them I'm going to keep the other.

Except the Rangers don't have good prospects lmao.

But if you find an offer you like for Nylander, let me know, and I'll see if I can match/up it.

I'm going to pass on this one. I would if I was trying to contend, but given that I'm in a rebuild phase, it doesn't make a ton of sense for me. I appreciate the interest though
