Winnipeg would not want Eller's contract next season, but a 2nd on it's own may be enough.

I don’t want to see him go but BOS accepts just because we need to make room for upcoming younger players. Would much rather forbort go but could live with this

I like Copp a lot, I think he'd be a good fit with us. Instead of Reilly, I'd like to see us put a package together to get Mayfield along with Varly to give us someone that can clear the crease.

buffalo passes on a player that is making the caps, as you put it, a dogshi team

I feel like if you flip the picks (Kempny & Washington's 4th for Buffalo's 7th) it would work. Kempny's UFA at the end of the year and I think taking on the cap hit for 6 weeks to make the other deals work is worth the upgrade for Buffalo

No, Bruins would not accept. Reilly is valuable and this helps a direct conference rival. Ahcan is doing great in the AHL but he hasn't proved (although in a limited opportunity) that he's a regular; Vaakanainen was playing well but is injured and there's no one else. They need to keep Reilly especially in a win-now season.

A 2nd for Reilly? Hell ya I do that. We paid a 3rd and he's a 3rd pairing OFD that plays sheltered minutes.

There is no chance bruins don’t take this, Urho will be back soon as he’s skating again, and bruins would probably pick up a RHD at the deadline to upgrade over Cliffy which would leave Cliffy as 7th D to step in when someone gets hurt (as he has exp. Playing both LD/RD) in the playoffs, still leaving Ahcan/Lewington for 8th Dman. ( I agree not ideal but not a horrible option currently)

Ideally BOS would like to wait till the off-season to make this move but they should capitalize return when values are highest at TDL this year

Buffalo has plenty of cap space. They will take on any contracts that expires soon for any sort of pick

They signed Reilly last year and he is effective. If anything, the Bruins need to add some defensemen. They would not do this. Remember the amount of the D they used last playoffs and how many were injured. Depth is important. You just don't trade a (good) defenseman now.

It literally says “ Ideally BOS would like to wait till the off-season to make this move” I know how important D’s are and I’m not saying BOS trades any but wouldn’t be worst idea as could easily find 3rd pairing rental cheaper or probably a couple of them 1LD 1RD, and make room for Urho and Zbroil next season cause as it stands right now bruins have 5 NHL level LHD (Urho and Zbroil both capable of playing RHD also I know but with Mac and Carlo no chance they get above 3rd pairing and both them have top 4 potential. So either BOS needs to trade out Reilly or forbort or if it was me BOTH, not saying at TDL but wouldn’t hurt that bad to maximize return on a Reilly and go snag a cheap rental 6-7 defensemen for playoff run. Obviously if there’s no options out there for less then a third rounder then no hold till off-season but if you can grab a 2nd for Reilly and throw away a 4th-5th rounder or middle prospect for some depth at TDL (which they likely do anyways) then IMO I woudl
