Description

Dallas gets some cap space for this year TDL and next year, and Kuokkanen (another Finn) good last year bad sophomore slump.

Wild get cap space for this TDL and a 50% retained Tatar for next year when the cap penalties kick in. Vesey bottom 6 player

Nashville get PK back 50% retained, not sure on his or Myers value but Myers has been scratched. PK may play better on 3rd pairing PP time.

Boston gets cap space this year and next year. A reclamation project in Zacha that can play center, another Czech if that helps, and is a RFA

Devils eat cap to get better picks and more shots at the draft (one has to be good), a goalie with NHL experience, spots to see if anybody from the AHL can step up to the NHL before getting sent down for AHL playoffs.

The Bruins and Preds trades I'd decline. I'm not thrilled about the Stars trade but might do it. The Wild trade, I'd accept that.

I wouldn’t do the Bruins trade. We could probably get that return without two cap dumps. Lukewarm on Dallas and Minny deals too.

But adding a couple of picks at deadline would be nice to use as ammo at draft to add a player or two.

I don't think the Stars would give up that much to move Khudobin. Maybe a 3rd, but a 2nd and 5th is probably too much.

yeah, I don't see the Bruins giving up a 1st for a reclamation project. Even if trading away the Moore contract. Which really doesn't hinder the team that much.

My thought was Ritchie cost the Leafs a late 2nd. Plus Khudobin has a higher cap and included Kuokkanen.

I would 100% take Khudobin with 3rd for future considerations, Devils just need someone with NHL right now.
