I don't think it's an argument that Ristolainen would be RD3 on the current Rangers behind Fox & Trouba. They don't need more sandpaper in a lineup that has Ryan Reaves, Jacob Trouba, Barclay Goodrow, et al, so one of Risto's best assets is redundant. They have the cap room to take him on so they don't need to add a sweetener to have Philly retain his salary. And, finally, Schneider is already holding his own at RD3 and it's not a position they need to urgently upgrade. Hardest of hard passes for them on that deal.

Already been said the Avs won't meet the Flyers asking price, and I've not seen anywhere that the Avs said Barron was expendable. Would love to see proof of that one.
