Why would we trade Risto for a scratch Lemieux and some irrelevant picks. Flyers can get more out of him.
Also, I hate to have JVR on the 4th line at 7m/year. If we're to put a 7m $ guy on the 4th, might as well trade him for a 7th round somewhere.

Colorado would be fleecing the Flyers, considering past trades, like what the Isles gave up for Pageau. Compher is having a great year but I'm skeptical Barron will pan out. I don't think Fletcher would be too greedy to ask for a Samuel Girard in the trade...

I'm not convinced that Jones an upgrade so giving up two picks for him without moving one of the goalies in the same deal or clearing some cap would be silly. Pass from EDM.

Actually Colorado have said Barron is expandable. You guys have a younger defense and have good defensive prospects. Who knows when or if Barron would crack the lineup. Especially when you guys have Bryam as well. And If Giroux joins ur team and their second line it increases the chances of a cup run a lot more.

They have? I'd like to see where Joe Sakic says that. There will be room for Barron next year and moving forward. Philly is much more likely to get Helleson than Barron.

So, the conditions under which Pageau was traded are the same as they are for Giroux? Barron will be a regular NHLer sooner rather than later. He can ask for Girard but I don't see the Avs moving him for rentals.

Flyers asked for Newhook and The avs said no way. They haven't said that about Barron so one would assume he isn't off the table wink you also got to remember. Giroux could go to the blues or wild and the avs wouldn't want Giroux going to a playoff rival

That's pretty different than "Avs have said Barron is expendable".

Giroux would be great to have but I do think the focus needs to be on improving the bottom six. That can be done, in part, by adding Giroux and pushing Nuke to the third line but I'm not sure that's enough, especially on the 4th line. And the price has to be right; at this point, word is that Giroux hasn't even talked to management about waiving his NMC so any reports at this point are probably more speculative than anything.

Actually Giroux said he will waive his NMC and told Fletcher he wants to go to the Avalanche and if a trade doesn't work out there then he said the Blues and the wild are also places he could go to. He did tell Fletcher though he does not want to be traded before the trade deadline so On trade deadline day that's when Giroux will waive his NMC

Can't imagine he'd want to go to the Wild at this point after the way they've played the last 10 games - they're regressing to their mean. Maybe they pull out of it soon but I'm not sure they're a real contender. Blues makes some sense but the Blues need help on the blueline more than anything.

Utter nonsense. He hasn't told the Flyers he'll waive. It's been reported he hasn't even had that conversation with Fletcher yet. The Avs haven't said Barron is expendable. Stop making stuff up to fit your own narrative.

LOL! Your name is sethjonesiselite and look at what Jones fetched in a trade. Girard would fetch a similar type of return. So yes, Fletcher would be stupid and greedy to think he could get Girard for Giroux.

Not making anything up bud. Do your research. At first in mid February Giroux said he wanted to see if they can still fight for a playoff spot then they lost like the next 5 games after he said that and then they had the conversation. Deadline is pretty close you really think Giroux and Fletcher didn't have talks about it yet?😂 and play do you live under a rock he literally said Giroux wants to be traded to the avalanche and if that doesn't work then the wild and blues are also suitable options. But he said he doesn't want to be traded before deadline prolly because he plays his 1000th game in Philly on March 17th which is 4 days before the deadline.

Pretty interesting that I can find it nowhere reported that he has (yes, I've done my research) and you haven't provided any evidence to refute it. So you're spouting BS until you prove otherwise.
