No way the Avs move Newhook, and don’t think they move Girard either as he has a great contract (even though he’s struggled a bit this year)

I don't think the value is far of but Colorado isn't trading Newhook in a league with a hard salary cap.

The value could not be more off. This heavily favors Vancouver.

@hockeybadger Hard "hell no" from the Avs

Has Girard not been on the block recently? Apparently the Avs are super interested in Miller so there'd have to be something good coming the other way.

Colorado doesn't have much space so there's have to be some cap going both ways too.

Honestly this could leave the door open to trading for Giroux too, with them not trading out their first

The report that he was on the block was a misinterpretation from a local Avs beat writer. Girard was the main piece going back in the Avs offer for Eichel. They aren't actively shopping him.

He's not on the block. Avs have interest in a lot of players and per Lebrun, are likely to be involved in just about every rumor you hear. Yes, there will be cap going the other way, but it won't be in players like Girard. Think more along the lines of Jost, Compher, Murray, and Helm. There's zero chance Girard or Newhook is dealt at the deadline. Zero.

MacKinnon, Makar, Toews, Rantanen for Miller, Myers, Poolman, Pearson

That value is significantly further off Sticking Out Tongue

I wish lol. A package around Barron and Olausson would be more realistic

No Girard hasn’t been on the block ever, but guys talking on a podcast evidently equate to that. COL has been linked zero to Miller by anybody covering the Avs. So all of that is just made up.

As for the value on what planet does a guy with 1yr left equate to a teams 2C next year and a top pairing caliber dman locked up for 5 more years. VAN could add 2 1st rd picks and COL still says no.

Ridiculous.

Start adding some first rounders on Vancouver's side and that might start a conversation with the Avs.
