Little known fact: Everybody thinks the Oilers then won the game in OT, but the Stars actually won it in a shootout.

And according to Steve Dangle, that extra point that the Oilers got from the shootout cost them a chance at Jonathan Toews

I think it'd be better to shoot the puck to your own net should you have it empty. Seems like far more beneficial thing to do.
