Absolutely not from Edmonton. Korpisalo might be worth a late 3rd to early 4th and he's a downgrade on both Skinner and Koskinen. Zero reason for the Oilers to even consider this.

Tex isn’t available unless it’s a huge overpay. For domi we will take a 2nd and 3rd

I think the jackets end up trading half retained Korpi for a 2nd and koskinen. They are pretty similar skill wise but it would save 3 million to get more get other players

Best you'd get from me in that scenario is a 3rd rounder and a middling prospect. There's no interest in downgrading our biggest position of need.

Everything coming out of Holland's pie hole suggests he isn't going to make any big moves at the deadline. It's pathetic that Oilers fans and the dynamic duo of Draisaitl and McDavid have to endure it but thems the splits.

I think it's a bad trade. Domi is as mediocre as it comes and I personally don't think he's worth more than 3rd, and I wouldn't even want him in a Pens jersey at all.

Texier has promise, but he's no Hagel. I'm sure CBJ wants a 1st, but they're not getting one.

If I had to revise this, I'd send a 2nd and POJ for Texier.

I like the style of play Domi could bring for a playoff run. Domi, Tex and Carter on the 3rd line 👀👀

What style does Domi bring? He's terrible defensively. He doesn't really score much. He doesn't do any one thing particularly well.

Haha well we arnt going to agree on this one which is fine. I think he’s decent defensively and would be a lot better in the Pens system/structure. How do you not fall in line with the superstars on this team? The physicality would be nice.

Side note Gardoki, you watching the game tonight?!

I am looooving Friedman in this game. He has brought the bite to the dog show.

I don't want him for that price. You can keep him. And FYI, every GM wants a 1st for every player they move. MTL wants a 1st for friggin Chiarot, but that doesn't mean they'll get one lol

Dude, this isn't opinion. There are stats to verify how bad he is defensively. Yeah, Domi plays a tenacious game, but he's 5'0 100lbs lol. They don't need him. Zucker is a better player than Domi, so I'd rather roll with him.

And yes, I'm quickly becoming a huge fan of Friedman. He's bringing bite and he can play.

Yeah the jackets have no need to trade Tex and he’s finally turning into what they thought he would be. Young cost controlled players don’t come cheap. We got a first plus for foligno and Savard both last year. Rentals (especially d men) are expensive right now.

Yeah I hate seeing Mcdavids career wasting away. The fact they aren’t in a playoff spot in a weak division with the best player in the league and another top 5 player is pathetic

I looked up all of his advanced stats. I will begin with I knew he wasn’t known as a defensive player, but assumed he was “ok”.

Anyway! Back to the advanced stats, I stand corrected. His stats are atrocious.

Let’s get Tex for Kap and a 2nd.

LOL yeah, he's REALLY bad defensively. Honestly, Zucker is a better player than him and would rather ride him the rest of the season than have Domi in the lineup. Zucker's fancy stats are off the charts good this year. He's just been unlucky.

Kap + 2nd would be more than fair for Texier.

So if you want a brother in arms with Zucker, I’m your guy. I am still a big fan of Zucker. He has been outstanding this year. He has done every single thing you can ask except getting the shots to go. That’s the thing with Zucker. He still brings a ton of tangibles to the ice when he isn’t scoring. I’m ok with trading him in the off-season, but they should 100% not trade him during this year.

I wouldn’t want POJ for Tex. We have too many LD prospects as it is, plus, we know even high-end PIT prospects are kind of meh right now.

With Johnson, Marchenko, et al. coming in the next few years (plus whatever our firsts bring us this draft), I’d rather not use the roster spot on him.

That’s…a bit optimistic for Korpi. I’d expect him to fetch a mid-rounder on his own. At this point, he’s nothing more than an insurance policy, with the acquiring team hoping he can pick up a few starts down the stretch to rest the regulars, and maybe catch fire again if called on for a long-term role down the stretch.

Whether we get more from a team like EDM depends on how much they want to save money, and how much CBJ would be willing to take on to improve the pick. All of which is to say, Skinner is cheap enough he could be buried or picked up on waivers if EDM really didn’t want to pay him, and I’m not sure Korpi is an upgrade.

Skinner for Korpi is a denial from Edmonton. Why would they shell out for the worst goalie with 20+ starts in the last 2 years? This is delusional

The trade for Korpisalo is literally a lateral move, it doesn’t make ether team better.
Oilers throwing in a Future NHL goalie on a cheap contract would get Holland run out of town.

    Oilers decline.
