Getzlaf will 99.89% not be traded. Rakell on the other will likely be traded. The problem is Rutherford stated he has no intention of trading any firsts and Ducks would most likely ask for a first in return for Rakell. Unless you could utilize some package without including a first but still having enough to send back, sign me up.

Rutherford is in Vancouver. Hextall is our GM. However the fact still remains. Pittsburgh is likely not going to trade a 1st round pick.

Hagg and Asplund for Kapanen?

Nick Paul would be the one I want. If not him then Marcus Johansson.

If the deal is right there are only a handful of players that the Sabres shouldn't trade...In saying that I do like Asplund but he isn't untouchable. Thing is Kapanen has arbitration rights. Don't know if the Sabres would want to go through that...rumor was that one of the reasons Olofsson's name has been mentioned in trades
