    1. Kostalek, Jan
    2. 2018 2nd round pick (WPG)
    Additional Details:
    RFA rights to Connor Hellebuyck

Islanders have loads of talent up front - and perhaps stand to loose one in the expansion draft. Hellebuyck provides a young option behind Greiss (which do not have), while Kosalek gives them a system defensman which they are thin in. 2nd round pick rounds out the deal.

For the Jets, Lee privdes a fast physical presence ont he second line that can score.

    1. Johns, Stephen
    2. Roussel, Antoine
    3. 2018 4th round pick (DAL)
    DAL
    1. Myers, Tyler
    Additional Details:
Dallas is in desparate need to land an experienced defenseman. Although they have a boat load of depth at the position - its all young and inexperienced. Myers solves that issue - and he is only 26.

The Jets can more than afford to move one of their defensemen on the right side. Although not ideal, its an ends to a means. Roussel will provide serious sandpaper and energy to the third line (and he can produce offensively). Johns is also a RD (which some may see as counter-productive), but Johns sample size is significantly smaller than Myers. It allows Trouba to move up the lineup while properly developing Johns. Lastly, it clears cap room for both Trouba and Laine. 4th round pick is greasing the wheel, but makes this work for both sides....

Say what you will, but at the end of the say, its Trouba or Myers next season. Move now and get value.

Lee is way too good to be given up for scraps. Top 15 in goal scoring will not leave the island for nothing. Also Isles have too many defesemen and have grade A defensive prospects already. What they need is a top 6 winger or a second line center.

the team as designed will regress horribly if Stuart is on your second pairing...not to mention that Trouba will NEVER sign long term with the Jets if they make him Stuarts partner again.

Yeeesh. How quickly Jets fans have soured on Hellebuyck...

I get that the goaltenders that the Jets have played for the past few years (maybe even since Lehtonen starred for the Thrashers?) have been underwhelming. Is it the goaltenders themselves, or is it the system around them? Because if it's the system (which I think it probably is), then you can put Ben Bishop, Halak, Carey Price, Jesus, or whoever else in there and you're probably still going to be in trouble. I like Paul Maurice, but he's not really a defensively minded coach. With the guys this team has back there, they should be better.

I also feel like Bishop is likely looking to get 4 or 5 years at about $6 mil/season.

This is the worst GM i've seen in a while, the defense is somehow worse than it was this year, the forward lines are stacked with guys way past their primes and i'm astonished that anyone could put Morrissey lower than the first pair considering how phenomenal he's been this year.
