Description

kreider+zib+laf has been the rangers best line this season. panarin+strome+kakko has outscored opponents far better than any other panarin+strome combo. the bottom 6 is where nyr lacks. they spend a lot of time in the d zone and have virtually no offensive output. i was very upset when blackwell left last year. sea has no use for him as they suck and bad teams can't rlly worry abt their bottom 6 if they're top 6 doesn't produce. he's a very responsible bottom 6 guy and would love to have him back on broadway. lehkkonen is a solid middle 6 forward who will be a great push in the bottom 6 for nyr. nemeth and jones r 6/7 d and will likely swap some time for the rest of the season. come playoffs i think nemeth will play w schneider bc the prospects of a rookie-rookie d pair in the playoffs is not great. not sure if this team is cup worthy yet, but it can make significant noise and possibly find its way to the ecf, which would be a massive success considering they were considered a fringe playoff team in the preseason.

also values could be off on the trades so don't worry too much abt them. lehkkonen will be a pick+prospect and blackwell will be mid round picks.

i agree about our top 6 being fine when kakko returns, but i feel like with our current cap situation and having the best individual seasons from a goalie in a long time we should look for better options than a guy like blackwell. we have a wealth of assets and someone like blackwell doesn’t really move the needle much for us, i just feel like we should look a better options to really shift our offense

Montreal deal is good. Pass on Blackwell. Get a top 6 C or RW, push Kakko down to the 3rd line.

NYR decline the Lehk deal...too much value going to MTL...drop the 2nd
Aside from the value, MTL in their rebuild probably worth taking a risk on Krav...and NYR could certainly use Lehk on 3rd line.
