Isles deadline

Created by: Nightowl26
Team: 2021-22 New York Islanders
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 5, 2022
Published: Mar. 5, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Trades
1.
NYI
  1. 2023 5th round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
With Muzzin gone. They need a big Defenseman on the cheap.
2.
NYI
  1. Jost, Tyson
  2. 2023 3rd round pick (COL)
Additional Details:
Colorado needs grit and someone who can take the body going into the playfoffs. Cutterbuck is the perfect guy on the 4th line. Jost has never panned out for Col and the Isles need some speed.
COL
  1. Clutterbuck, Cal
  2. 2023 6th round pick (NYI)
3.
NYI
  1. 2023 2nd round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
I thought either TB or Pitt. Went with Pitts, Parise has played very good for the Isles. Parise has a motor that doesn't quit, good forechecker and still has some jump. On a Vet team like Pitt, he bring even more playoff experience to go with their great core. I know a 2nd sounds like a lot but teams will all be going for Parise to play on the 3rd line. He's only making $750K with all the cap problems playoff teams have, he's a true bargain.
4.
NYI
  1. Koskinen, Mikko
  2. 2023 1st round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
We all know Edm needs a goalie. I don't think Fluery is going there. I think he'll end up in either Vegas (Lehner out) or Col (Kemper is horrible), Fluery does have a say where he goes. He won't go to Boston or Wash because of his time with Pitts (as it's be reported). I don't think he'll want to go to Edm. I think this is the most realistic deal. Varly is under contract next year too at a reasonable 5M hit. Koskinen helps the cap issues for this year. Edm still keeps their 2022 1st rounder (good draft). Seems like a fair win, win for both teams.
5.
NYI
  1. Rask, Victor
  2. 2022 3rd round pick (MIN)
Additional Details:
Bailey is only owed 3.5M for each of the next 2 years. Rask offsets the salary cap issue this year. Bailey brings proven playoff numbers and experience.
MIN
  1. Bailey, Josh
  2. 2022 6th round pick (NYI)

Oilers decline
Varlamov simple hasn't been good enough this yr to warrant a first in return, he's still under contract for next yr and that poses a problem for the Oilers as Smith is still under contract next yr also and Skinner is ready to be the backup next yr and he is no longer waive exempt

Who's taking Smith a 40 yr old goalie with injury concerns and can't be relied on to stop pucks, the Oil would have to pay a big sweetener

Dude you were already told no a few times last week, stop trying to force Josh Bailey on wild fans. How many times does it need to be stated to you and several other islanders fans, wild don't have any interest in Josh Bailey and this bs lie has already been debunked. We aren't taking on your dump. @RazWild
