Nope, not getting more than that for Bertuzzi. Like it or not, it's a fair offer

Then he stays in Detroit which is what will happen anyway because They aren't trading him.

Matthews is the only player on Toronto with more goals than Bertuzzi

This man seems to forget Yzerman got a First, a second, and Vrana for Mantha. Bertuzzi is better than Mantha and would return more. Not to mention Bert is having a career year with 46 pts in 47 games and he is under 5 mill for the next 2 years.

A Bertuzzi trade should have a main piece of Robertson, not Kerfoot.

Yeah Robertson would need to be included but I hate when Detroit references the Vrana trade that was a colossal disaster for washington if they expect to win like that in every trade Yzerman will never get any deals done

Man, if it weren’t for Covid Bertuzzi would be perfect for this team. As things are right now though, this doesn’t make sense for either team.

I like kerfoot more than most but neither team does that, you hold him and hope restrictions lighten up in the off-season

Alot of people forget that Washington dumped Panik in that trade. Yzerman hasn't won every trade, I don't think the Leddy trade was a win, didn't really think so when it happened either. I personally didn't think anything more than a third should have gone to the Islanders. Then we lost a retention slot for two years as well. We might be lucky to recoup a second for Leddy. It's not awful but not great.

I do agree, Bertuzzi would be a great compliment on the leafs roster. He's the type of player that could really push the leafs over the top in my opinion. As long as their defence holds up.

Now you're forgetting something; Yzerman dumped Panik in that Leddy trade. Thereby devaluing the 2nd.

I don't think he was really a dump, I think dumping panik at half retention hurts us more than it hurts them. I think they wanted him hoping he could be a decent depth option and at half the price didn't seem so bad. They didn't realize he was going to be trash and be put in the minors. Also with him in the minors he barely affects their cap. We really didn't need to trade panik for salary purposes, if we had that retention slot trading Greiss Leddy and Namestnikov would be way easier.

Mr. Dinkiee you have been floating this same trade for months. You believe or seem to believe that Bertuzzi belongs to Leafs and Yzerman will accept what you want to give.

Well l have a question, have you ever been called a "Richard Cranium" or some form of that?

Sorry but I disagree. He was a cap dump when we got him and a cap dump when he left. I've often wondered if the 1st in the Mantha trade was actually for taking Panik. Also, you might not care about a player making millions in the AHL but obviously the Wings did. They are still running a business after all.

I'm not entirely sure he thinks that trade will ever happen. He either wanted to get into argument or more likely he just wanted piss off a bunch of Wings fans.

I do understand the business side of it, but the wings aren't poor. Maybe it was to shed a million dollars or not, only they will know.
