Assuming that Washington wants to try to add at the deadline to try to make a playoff run, they need to add cap space first....Detroit can accommodate.

They're not trading a second for DET to take on a cap hit for just this year. Anyone who they trade with to get a piece would be willing to take on Schultz' hit. You trade picks for retention and future years covered, not an expiring guy and getting nothing that helps you in return.
