If kenny completely gutted the lineup

Created by: pavelisgoat

Description
Now I understand this is absolutely wild and completely unlikely that Holland did this many transactions. However, the wings can either keep the pieces in place (I like most of the pieces, they just aren't working) or they can blow it up mostly, and try a bunch of new guys that should be ready in 2-3 years.

After the trades, we protect:
Z
Mantha
AA
Armia
Dekeyser
Kronwall
Ouellet
Jensen
Mrazek
(meeting requirements with Abby, Helm, Ericsson, and Coreau)

In the Kuznetsov deal, the wings are taking Orpik in order to free up cap space for the caps to resign guys like alzner, shattenkirk, oshie. I'm not sure if Orpik has value to the caps or if they would prefer to get him off their books?

Idea would be to have a bad year in 2017, draft Svechnikov and then have a pretty elite top 6.

These moves also give Holland a ton of cap room to chase after big free agents like Fowler in a couple of years

Holland would be the worlds biggest moron if he protected Kronwall, He will be pretty much spending his last two seasons on LTIR any ways.

Seriously doubt that Nielsen waives his NMC for Carolina He's not going anywhere at least not for 2 more years any ways.

And really DDK+Detroi's 7th overall pick for Arizona's 3rd overall pick and why would Arizona do that. Maybe if Larkin was added but not for DDK.

Hey, if you have a bad enough year, you might even get the next Nick Lidstrom: Rasmus Dahlin.

Yep i would be happy with either Rasmus Dahlin or Andrei Svechnikov and have both Svechnikov brothers on the team.

Protecting Kronwall because there is literally nobody else to be protected. After all the trades, it only leaves us with 4 (expansion eligible players) worth protecting up front and so Kronwall gets protected for the sake of being protected. I know Vegas would never take him. But anyway he can help coach the young guys for the coming year before he retires.

As for the coyotes trade, I was just looking for a way to move up in the draft to get Vilardi, the yotes have done dumber things.
