Major overpay for Garland. As a canucks fan..we would run with that.

I don’t see it as a major overpay. A 1st and two late 2nds is what Garland should be worth. Top 6 winger in his prime on a great contract.

You traded Bellows twice. I think Garland would be a nice target but it feels like a lot

Yeah I guess I would take Bellows out of the EDM trade. Garland and Fiala are the only two wingers who make sense for the isles - Garland is worth a lot more than 4.9 mill which is why the extra 2nd is added - if he was on a 6 mill AAV he would only cost a 1st and a 2nd. Similar to how mayfields value is higher because of his contract

Garland isn’t worth a pick in the 7-9 range in a deep draft

That's what we paid for him and I wouldn't trade him if we aren't getting close to that value back

That’s because Benning is a moron - no one would give up that kind of value for Garland.

smh no we didnt all of them had 1 year left, we couldve held off but jimbo's bummy fingers dialed arizona

now we have to trade either one of garland, boeser, or miller just to stay under cap. if we kept them this year we couldve had so much cap space for free agents this offseason

We don't have to do any of that.. thats just what Rutherford wants. Canucks could trade a few smaller pieces..hamonic..poolman..Motte, Dickinson or Pearson any 1 or 2 or more of those and get at least something back and still have room to sign boeser. Boeser is not getting anything more than 6.5 to 6.75..just like all those that kept saying pettey and Hughes were getting like 8 to 9mill or more..never gonna happen

Honestly, you could just have Bemstrom for the 3rd. We’ll take Bellows, I guess, but we don’t need more B6 guys. He’d probably end up on waivers at some point.

Nah. There's a market for each..just have to look. Only one that might require canucks adding a pick or prospect or taking a contract back would he poolman. The other still have value.
