Ooh, that's a very good question, because he's been an excellent bottom six center this season. He's easily worth a 3rd rounder in my opinion, but maybe Florida wants as much as a 2nd for his RFA rights. That said, I seriously wonder if the Panther's will be able to re-sign him because he can demand a pretty fair salary with the way he's played this year

Personally, I'd be hesitant to give up a 2nd for Luostarinen if I'm a GM, but if there is a huge bidding war for him, then maybe I'd be okay with meeting the Panther's asking price if it's that high. If the Cats only want a 3rd for Luostarinen however, I would take that and run

Is a guy like Ylonen + a 4th can be a possibility?

I don't think so, Ylonen is an AHL caliber player so he doesn't have any value really

he is starting to look like a 4th line offensive supplement with our team. Got a cool shot too. Was just wondering.

Yeah, but until the rest of the league catches onto that, his trade value won't have risen up across the market the way fans like you might value him at

Yeah, I think going no lower than a 3rd is a safe bet

No way. Ylonen is already better than Luostarinen. He's gonna be a middle 6 winger. There's no point for habs to target Luostarinen with suzuki, Dvorak, Evans, and poehling.
Maybe something like Poehling + 5th for Luostarinen is the most I'd do

i'd personally just move a third and a small piece (hillis?) from a habs perspective for luostarinen ONLY if hoffman or drouin are moved. otherwise theres gonna be a big logjam

i'm looking to add size and 200 feet game, but I wonder who from Ylonen or Poehling might be gone by summer cause contract are already logjamming in ahl

i think there could still be room for both of them to crack the nhl if dauphin is not brought back, and it makes some space in the ahl

It’ll depend on what he ask for to re-sign with Florida. If it is reasonable, then the Cats might trade Bennett instead. If it is too much, than a 2nd or early-3rd rounder will be asking price.
