The thing is, habs have zero obligation to trade him, I agree his value is around 2nd + 4th, but he's more valuable to the habs than a 2nd + 4th is. I think what we want is 1st + 3rd for him. If no team offers something close to that, we'd gladly keep him. But im getting where all you people are coming from. I know it's overpay, but habs ain't doing it unless overpay.

Those players to Montreal makes no sense to me, but we can't discount Gorton having insight towards some Rangers prospects that we don't.

LHD and bottom 6C options aren't really considerations, but it might be possible to override that by getting higher total value. Quantity over quality isn't necessarily a bad idea in a Lehkonen trade.
