Don't see Kevin Chevelldayoff trading Connor Hellebuyck unless Winnipeg is heading for a full blown rebuild here. And basically Friedman said that Andrew Copp is more then likely home bound to Detroit.

You would have to add Skinner to make this work.

I do think Winnipeg does need to go into a full rebuild. Now whether the above trade is a starting point or not is a different question.

And yeah, maybe Edmonton has to include Skinner in a deal for Hellebuyck.

Would be interesting to see what a full rebuild looks like, would be tough to do with a few guys playing under there cap hits. My guess would be a retool that’s Centered around Connor,ehlers,Dubois,helly, perfetti. If they trade any of the 5 might as well go full bottom out rebuild, especially if it’s helly. Probably starts with Chevy being replaced. Just a tough spot with the loyalty and term they have on wheeler, scheifele, and morrissey. Interesting 6 to 18 months ahead, with scheifele clock ticking on contract and value back.

If the Jets are doing a full blown rebuild the Oilers should be going for Pionk and or Lowry!

If the jets were to go full blown rebuild, this would be a good return. Two 1sts, last seasons 1st, middle 6 winger, and some others. I think swapping tulio out with skinner would make the trade more enticing.

All that said, I don’t think the jets will rebuild. I think they need to as they’re about to have some cap issues after having to pay Dubois this off-season but they’re going to try and adjust on the fly. Though the extent of the cap issue will depend on if little plays next season.

Winnipeg only needs an injection; they don't need a full rebuild. Finding suitors for Scheifele and Wheeler with new leadership in the room is all they need, so a Hellebuyck trade isn't going to happen this year.

I must say the return is pretty good in this scenario though.
