Husso would get more than this on the market. Also, don't think that's enough for Boeser. Severson is a year from UFA

Bernier isn't out for next season as well, So why would you trade for Husso who's probably not going anywhere?

Bad asset management for Boeser imo. Severson is 1.5 years from UFA meanwhile Boeser is an RFA. I think they would rather go for a younger player. Not discrediting Severson’s skill of course.

Husso is going to get like 3.5-4 mil to be someone's starter if he leaves the blues. Think Drieger last year... and they didn't even make him the starter.

Boesser costs more than that

That's not clear yet. And Fitz has said he wants to add goaltending for next year. So he either doesn't expect Benier to return, or he wants added insurance.

Husso is a UFA after this season. So of you wanted him, you'd likely just be grabbing him in FA

Is it weird I do not hate that trade as a Ranger fan? It would just be difficult for them to re-sign him not impossible but difficult.

I understand what you're saying. What other "young" and affordable RHD are available for a team interested in acquiring Boeser? In my opinion, the only trade that makes sense for Boeser is VAN getting a top 4 RDH back and Severson fits that bill. Yes he'll need a contract after next season, but I think VAN could get him at a reasonable AAV on his next deal.

I can't imagine Husso getting more than 3million AAV as a bridge deal.

Boeser might cost more, but in this proposal both teams are trading for established players that each team needs. Boesers 7.5 million QA most likely scares some teams away.

Don't think Rangers does that trade, Jones is looking very promising.
Devils should definitely not trade Severson for Boeser, big mistake. Just let Vancouver enjoy hs 7.5m QO and sign Burakovsky in FA instead.
Blues matches that contract for Husso ez.
