I don't know where the idea that Pearson for Dube is good, I don't think Calgary would go near it whatsoever.

I can see the first two.

Has Sutter soured on Dube? Not sure why they do that.

Massive underpayment for Miller.

yep fair enough. I saw something on twitter the other day suggesting that maybe Calgary looks at him, but it may have been a joke since your roster if half canucks at this point

I wonder if you could swap Miller for Horvat in that deal.. Horvat is a clutch playoff player (albeit not a big sample)

Alex Newhook is incredibly valuable, I agree personally that Miller is still worth more but Avs probably don't trade Newhook for Miller even 1 for one.

Hahaha if that's the case give me Edler and Gagner as depth! Or 1 JT Miller! I don't mind Pearson, the cost and term is just too much for Calgary for the position he plays and what he brings this season, Flames will have a hard enough time navigating this off season. I think a lot of people are just jumping on the he played for Sutter train and running with it.

Other way around Miller isn’t offered for Newhook 1 for 1. Bo for Newhook more like it.

Is JT Miller better than:

Nathan MacKinnon? No
Mikko Rantanen? No
Gabriel Landeskog? No
Nazem Kadri? Debatable
Andre Burakovsky? Yes.

Why should Colorado give up the farm for what would be their 5th best forward?

Alright so clearly you haven't been paying attention to Miller the last few seasons.

Is he better than Mackinnon? No
He's in the same tier as Rantanen and Landy.
He is a PPG swiss army knife who can play all 3 forward positions. Great at faceoffs, kills penalties, can take over a game, and makes every player around him better. And his contract is dirt cheap for what he is.

Drives me nuts that other fans dont understand this man's value.
