They go back 1 and half rounds in the draft for De Haan and Carps in exchange for Kaut; but okay...a 2nd rounder for De Haan and 5th for Carps...that's their street value so didn't think this was that far off

Carpenter doesn’t really fit what COL needs, he gets crushed in metrics and isnt all that good in the face off circle. DeHaan is solid but I think there are more cost effective move out there to make and a move like this with no cap going back basically taps COL out cap wise and I do think they are going bigger game hunting.

Carps is a PK guy, purely defensive forward. Cap can go back for sure but hopefully expiring cap as well.

Yeah but they have a Carpenter like guy with a little more offense in Jost. Avs really are desperate for a stud face off guy in the bottom 6 that isn’t Glendening.

    Thats a no from COL.
De Haan + Carpenter for just a 2nd is closer.
Carpener alone at best is gets you a 5th round pick

See my comment above, De Haan for a 2nd and Carps for a 5th

I'm pretty sure that's close to the price it's going to take. Whether Colorado accepts or not is a different story
