I don’t get it… you’re pretty much giving away a 30 point guy and then getting Vlad Namestnikov to fill that spot? Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big fan of Nemestnikov and I think it’d be a smart move or any playoff team to grab him, but in this instance it makes zero sense

Wow a pending UFA, And a pick 3 drafts away. And name me a reason why Yzerman would accept this? Aston-Reese wont even crack the lineup and a 3rd that's still 3 drafts away. Detroit passes and absolutely has no reason to make this trade.
