I like the NYI, SJ and Mrazek/Holl dump, but I think I'd rather have Nylander and Liligren than Bear and Necas

Canes pass. They have their own cap issues. Necas' bridge deal is going to be better value than Nylanders almost 7 mil. Bear and Lilly is close enough to a wash.

To Leafs fans, the value in the Canes trade would probably be there. But for the Canes, the value isn’t there. Necas was a dealbreaker for Eichel and Laine, so that would also include possible Nylander trades as well. The Canes organization has an extreme fondness for Necas, so it is highly unlikely that they trade him. Nylander would be a great addition for the Canes, but it won’t be at the expense of Necas. Necas still has room to grow, whereas Nylander either is close to peaking or has already peaked. I don’t see the Canes trading for Nylander, but they could pursue him in free agency. That being said, Canes pass.

yes he is, i actually like him a lot but he’s been passed up on the depth chart and Dermont would likely be a scratch once we have everyone back healthy

Sharks accept - Simek is relatively one dimensional but he's very physical and deserves a change in scenery since he's been in the doghouse under Boughner.
