If Mark Scheifele was traded for this deal I would quit watching hockey.

That being said, I would be against any Scheifele deal that wasn't a massive overpay. I dont think the team has any plans to move him, and I reckon it'd take a hefty offer to even bring the team to the bargaining table. Not trying to **** on Strome, and a 1st is always nice, but I would be shocked if this moved the needle at all.

It's mainly just a "if Winnipeg wants to shake things up" I wouldn't expect Scheifele to be traded but you still have pld strome copp

Extension in mid seasons for UFA guy from Cup contender to a non playoff team don't happen.
You have to explain how the Rangers cap works next season when Fox and Zibs get 14m raises.

There Is a part 2 and you don't have to tell the player just sign and opps you've been traded

This doesn't get MAF, Its probably a slight overpay for CDH if you'd like him.

Anything gets maf if he's willing to go ti that franchise... what are you going to do hold him, not make the playoffs and he leaves or retire in the off-season

It would still need to be mutual. CHI honouring a handshake agreement, I would think the expectation is that MAF would have a level of respect for CHI if they weren't to obtain a fair and reasonable offer.

From the reports coming out he's not demanding a trade so there is not urgency for the hawks to accept any old offer.
