I don't think Toronto would want Halak. As much as I like Motte, I think that's a bit much for him too.

I think with the term Wennberg has it would cost some kind of actually valuable asset to get him, especially with retention

What do you think we can get for motte
and what would need to be added to wennberg trade

Every team has a "Motte" type player. Deal not worth unless COL feels they are getting a bargain

At the end of the day Motte is a 4th liner on a contender. Getting a single 3rd round pick for him, if we can't sign him to <$2 mil, would be a huge win imo.
Wennberg is really tricky, given the term he has left. I would lean towards saying dealing him at this juncture doesn't make sense for Seattle.
Twist my arm I'd say like either a 2nd rounder or a B-level prospect like Jet Woo or Aidan McDonough. You can claim a player like Bowey on waivers so I don't think he'd have any value at all.
