From a realism standpoint, Florida simply can't afford to take on Kapanen and Matheson. Next year? Sure, they could probably make it work. After that? Bye, bye, Huberdeau.

You're still stuck paying Matheson for the next 4 years. He's been better, but the original Matheson/Hornqvist trade was made because of two reasons-1)Matheson needed a change of scenery, and 2)Because Hornqvist's contract expires 3 years earlier than Mathesons.

Florida should absolutely try to add a LD, but with their upcoming cap issues, it needs to be either an expiring UFA, or someone with a low AAV contract. Only guy I'd add above 2ish mil would be Chychrun, because you know you're probably sending someone back like Duclair or Bennett.
