Great for team and player. I can see McCann having multiple 50+ point seasons.

Good deal, he's had a couple of straight solid seasons and looks like Seattle's 2c for years to come

I like it a lot.

>I think that AAV is just right

>Expires at 30, so you don't have an albatross on your hands (unless he has 5 straight "Just Signed The Contract" seasons, as my dad calls them)

Easy yes.

Exactly what I was saying. Seattle need players to build around. McCann could've been a fantastic TDL piece, but keeping him is even better.

0 goals in 12 playoff games, I thought he would be a perfect fit with the Leafs

I said Kadri Money. Close enough

Overall being the 1c in a healthy Seattle team often helps get the opportunities to score more lul.

Lets just see if this aint another Karlsson (Vegas) where he has one good year than slowly starts to fall flat.

But man we were never gonna afford that and thus would have really been a 1 year rental

In Seattle he is the 1c, In Toronto would have been the 3rd line center

In Seattle gets to play with Eberle and Jarnkrok or Schwartz on the top line

In Toronto he would have been with Engvall and Mikheyev or Kase depending on who is healthy

So take all of that into account and McCann probs does not have the point totals in Toronto that he does in Seattle. Also he would have not got PP time which would feed into the lower totals to.

Expansion team gave him a better opportunity and role and hes feeding off it. Still not really bothered, Holl also has been much better as of late so were good. Once his confidence came back we started seeing the Holl from a year and a half ago return and could not be happier. McCann would have been a 1 year rental for us as we could not afford this extension lul.

This is interesting one.
Hes been 1C in Seattle but is he 1C truly?

This is big pay day, not sure hes 5 million AAV player.
Anyone thinking Seattle outbid themselves here for no reason???

Kyle Dubas should be lamenting his life decisions

If the leafs don’t win a playoff series this year he’s gone

I mean I assume him being a better player than Bunting he would play in the top line and would be producing at a much better pace than he is in Seattle. Playing with MAtthews and Marner obviously would be way better than his current situation

With all the Dman that were available to the Kraken why was Dubas so afraid he'll lose Holl, Francis would not have picked him, he would have picked Kerfoot, because the forward depth made available sucked for the Kraken and Kerfoot (like McCann) are the easy choice.

McCann would not fit the playstyle of Matthews and Marner. Bunting adds a bit of grit and rat like aspects that complements Matthews and Marner well

McCann would maybe be with JT and Nylander but I got a feeling he would be our 3c with Kase and Mikheyev

Also no PP time would have hurt McCann's numbers here as those 12 pp points would have never happened. And being with Mikheyev and Kase over Schwartz and Eberle would be a not be great for his totals either lul

So really would have made no difference for us

1. He'll need to keep up what he's doing now to make this contract worthwhile

Would've been an even better deal for SEA w/o the M-NTC. Those always seem to factor in eventually.
