Drop Phillips and add a 1st instead of a 2nd if you want to be serious.

They just resigned him, also @csick, who do you think is better Engvall or Paul.

I don’t know much about Engvall but I know Paul is pretty damn good. I would re-sign him under 3 mill al

Figured you guys might want a RH winger (since I think you only have one), he's been lighting up the AHL

Just curious because I was having an argument with JaredofLondon who said Engvall's better, I think Paul is better because of his ability to play higher up in the lineup, I wouldn't have Engvall play with Stutzle or Norris, but Paul I'd be okay with.

He's also older and undersized, we'll see if he stays or is moved but I think he is 5'7 which really impacts his trade value.

Detroit accepts, Wouldn't mind Monahan as our 2C.

I doubt Engvall is getting a contract north of 2 mill. Meanwhile Paul is. So that tells you a lot

I mean he's 23, still lots of tread left. There are also other smaller players in the league that have succeeded, so don't love that argument but I get it. I would like to see him get a real chance somewhere

Scott Reedy has been lighting up the AHL too and he's a RH RW. Gonna need that 1st though. Hertl is our best player and Zary hasn't exactly lit it up.

Pretty sure Detroit would take this, But for obvious reason Calgary doesn't.

Worth a try for Detroit. Like to get a pick for taking all that salary though.

I do it but only without the picks 1 for 1 makes sense.

Yeah 1 for 1 for a 3rd round pick should be a fair offer.

He isn't the same player he was 3 seasons ago and Suter has the same production as him over the last 2 seasons.

Yup he pretty much doesn't have much value. Most of my Calgary friends say they'd be lucky to get a 3rd or 4th round pick for him.

I would take the risk that he can rebound in a new setting, as long as it was cheap.

I feel like if detroit made that deal and his production didn't really increase, they could still flip him to a contender half retained for the same return.
