The Husso signing is a mistake. He's played well for a handful of games, he doesn't have the track record to expect him to be a starter.

I would give Puljujarvi and Yamamoto more term. If that means a slightly higher AAV in both cases, so be it.

Playing Yamo in the top 6 over Pujli is just dumb.
Trade Yamo at Deadline.
Pujli is getting at LEAST $4 mil/per
The Defense is worse.

I think Niemelainen brings the physicality the backend need more. I bring in Broberg when he displaces Keith or md season (helps will bonuses too.)

What is more term an how much more money? to me it allows 2 more years to figure what you need to keep Leon and Connor.

Neither did Talbot, Smith aint the answer and I think Skinner and Mikko are an unproven pair. At least in an injury there is coverage. Who do you sign?

Its about a top 9 not just looking at top 6 minutes. What does trading Yamo get you and how do you fill that hole.
JP has dropped. I see $4 for a longer term.
How is the D worse? Pysyk has had a decent year on a bad buffalo team

Talbot had played 115 NHL games when he signed for $4.1M x 3, and was coming off a 56-game campaign (for which he was paid $1.45M). Look at how well Dreidger has done... or not.

I don't have an issue with you signing Husso, it's the contract that I don't like.

Why do you think Edmonton's 2nd highest scoring winger who is young, cheap and under team control, should be deadline trade bait? That's excessively poor asset management.
