buffalo has 40 million in cap next year they are looking for contracts in exchange for picks. Olofsson doesn't have a contract he is worth about 2 second rounders.
Kassian could be valuable at a trade deadline if he ever wakes up.

Olofsson doesn't have a contract and has mediocre production. His cap hit could go to 4.5 Million in arbitration. Pysyk is a rental.

If one believes that post taking Kassian and a second for Karmanos' favorite trade chip, future considerations.
That leaves Pysyk and Olofsson for a first.
If one presumes Olofsson is worth two seconds and Pysyk is worth a 3rd, this seems to be fair return.

I am not a fan of Kassian's behavior on ice, but I am a fan of first and second round picks in 2022,
