If you want to trade 2 great prospects, the better player (Zadorov) and 3 high round picks for Lehkonen (he is good, but not worth *that* much) and a terrible defenseman in Chiarot, go right ahead

Hmm, other than a sought after LD who would most certainly be even better on a good team, a LW/RW who is most definitely a big upgrade on Dube who can score, move up and down the line up on both sides, and a goal tender with NHL experience, not long from high end flashes as an insurance for the playoffs? Besides we need to fill in a little more scoring as there is very little chance we get Chucky and Johnny back next year. Taffoli and Lehkonen are of course not them, but a start. You and few others are always a guaranteed instant negative responses, atleast your consistant, many times as if you don't watch hockey at all. All good, I know you obviously have nothing better to do, and I'm just having some fun. Cheers

A terrible defenseman? I guess you don't look at any statistics or metrices, OR watch any games other than your home team (hopefully it isnt Montreal), AND take into account he is playing on one of or the absolute worst teams in the league with no goal tending or consistent D.

And sorry I missed this part......Zadarov is better than Chiarot, are you high? Long term and potential upside, this is not even close as far as talent. Pull your head out of the St. Lawrence.

the flames are already pretty stacked up IMO and with the Toffoli trade you're pretty much done in terms of offensive depth. Chiarot would be a great fit especially with Sutter but the asking price will probably be way too high.

Thanks Alex, a respectful intelligent response, much appreciated and very rare on here. I do very much agree with you, and have no problem at all running with the current lineup AT ALL, and we still have a little depth at all positions, especially come playoffs if we can sign a couple more prospect to entry level. I would still like to see a cost effective experienced playoff defenseman in the mix for depth come the playoffs, Chara would be amazing for the team, locker room and although certainly not his old self, would put every single bit of himself into whatever role give to get to another cup. Stacked, yes right now, but one or two injuries in the wrong place and we quickly become very vulnerable. I love Pelletier, Phillips, Gawdin, Mackey , simone and others play in Stockton (number 1 in the AHL!) and would like to see them come up near the end of the season in preparation to their Black Aces roles, or in relief of an injury. I would hate to lose Wolf, but we have another potential star on the rise goalie doing very well with Sergeev. Cheers, Alex.

Hahaha not often can people have normal conversations on this platform lol. I think Calgary will be very tough to face this year. The thing with Lehkonen is that the price is going to be very high because he's a product from the organization that we drafted & developped and that is still pretty young+he showed he could potentially be a 35 to 40 points guy. if Calgary wants to make a trade for pelletier, that would made my day tho

TBH as a Habs fan I look at that and think, yes please!! As a hockey fan I would say you can drop all the picks on both sides and Montreal would still likely do it, even if it means we have to take on Zadorov (whom I have never liked BTW)
