Trades
1.
TOR
  1. 2022 3rd round pick (NYI)
Additional Details:
Deadline day trades, Islanders need to get younger and Dermott needs a change of scenery.
2.
TOR
  1. Jämsen, Aatu [Reserve List]
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (LAK)
Additional Details:
LA is just the placeholder team. Any team looking for a good middle-six lw who's versatile and can play center. Team would probably be one that has cap space and is in the wild card race.
3.
TOR
  1. 2023 2nd round pick (ANA)
Additional Details:
Placeholder team. At a minimum a team pays a 2nd, probably a 1st though considering chiarots value and the fact duncan keith was actually traded for by giving up assets (holland moment).
4.
TOR
  1. McBain, Jack [Reserve List]
Additional Details:
Trade value all depends on who he wants to sign with. Toronto born boy so I could see this happening. Very similar to what happened when Toronto traded for Hyman.
MIN
  1. 2023 3rd round pick (TOR)
5.
TOR
  1. Roy, Matt
  2. 2023 4th round pick (LAK)
Additional Details:
Listen, I know LA fans love this guy and say that he's not going to be traded for a while, but honestly I think if the price paid is big enough they'd move him. They have walker who in my opinion would actually fit pretty well in a 2nd pairing role there. They also have 2 youngsters in Faber and Clarke who for all we know, can absolutely light it up next year. They have a lot of RD depth for next year and this is a move I think is beneficial to them. Also, both these teams have a reputation for making trades with each other.
LAK
  1. Holl, Justin
  2. Villeneuve, William
  3. 2023 1st round pick (TOR)
  4. 2024 3rd round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
Holl gets a really bad rep because of the bright lights of Toronto, but he's actually been quite good now and I think would add to LA's already deep RD lineup. He could fit in both a 2nd or 3rd pairing role with them and could potentially fill up the hole Roy leaves. 2024 is a conditional pick. Turns into 2023 Leafs 2nd round pick if Leafs make the conference finals and Roy plays in 50% or more games.
6.
TOR
  1. Garland, Conor
  2. Höglander, Nils
  3. Schenn, Luke
  4. 2023 2nd round pick (VAN)
Additional Details:
I personally think this is a great move for both teams and got some advice from people on this website. This is the value I personally think Nylander gets due to his contract and age.
VAN
  1. Nylander, William
  2. 2023 4th round pick (TOR)
7.
TOR
Any rebuilding team that wants a free goalie for 2 years with a 3rd round pick. Can flip Mrazek with retention to another team later for value.
    ARI
    1. Mrázek, Petr
    2. 2022 3rd round pick (NYI)

Guerin say no to this. He's prepared to lose jack mcBain to free agency if he doesn't get a 2nd round pick. He's apparently isn't going to give jack mcBain what he wants

You're asking way too much for Kerfoot and especially Nylander.

And how exactly is overpaying for Nylander helping Vancouver?

Drop Hoglander and the 2nd, and the 4th. If was just Garland and Schenn for Nylander then it would be fair.

And the asking price for McBain is a 2nd round pick.

Roy is not available this season, period. Outside of Doughty (who is injured right now), he's the only right-handed defenseman available for the playoffs with over 50 NHL games under his belt. When Doughty was out for 2 months earlier this season, Roy took over as LA's #1 defenseman.

They won't trade him under any circumstances. LA is looking to compete this year. The Kings are buyers, not sellers.

There's a reason why you guys are so desperate to get Matt Roy -- and that's exactly why we're not selling.

Nylander's contract is a bargin and he actually shows up in the playoffs I think it would be a mistake to trade him.

If Garland and Schenn is worth Nylander than Kerfoot and Holl is worth Petterson. Kerfoot is out performing Garland and makes around 1.5 less and Holl is better than Schenn.

Leaf fans are supposed to be the only fans who grossly overestimate their players value. Stay in your lane.

I kinda laugh when someone says the Leafs have to rebuild after a first round exit, but then they sign Campbell to a long term deal. Wouldn't the goalie that doesn't get you to the second round, be the first guys that isn't resigned?
Muzzin isn't worth his contract and his MMC makes him untradeable
That's an easy no from Vancouver for two years of Nylander

"Listen, I know LA fans love this guy and say that he's not going to be traded for a while"

Just stop there. LA fans have just a bit more of an idea of what the Kings plans are for Roy. Anything else you're adding on is a Leaf's fans narrative that is deliberately ignoring constructive criticism you, along with multiple other Leafs fans, have been told many times.

Kings aren't building through draft picks anymore, especially not to drop their best defensive defenseman. A late 1st 2 drafts down the road means nothing to LA. Holl would fall past AHL level talent for the Kings in terms of their RD depth chart. And Villanueve would fall even lower than that!

They are in the hunt not only for a wild card, but for tops in their division. Kings won't be selling. Full stop.

Garland and Schenn for Nylander is not a fair deal...
It would have to be Garland + Hoglander to be fair value, but Nucks fans wouldn't go for that apparently so this deal is a hard no

Like I said, duncan keith got something with no retention. Muzzin was atleast a top 20 dman in the league last year. He's having a down year but acting like he isn't an amazing dman when at his best is wrong. He's also the exact sort of guy you want in the playoffs, so some gm is gonna bite for sure. As for the nmc, thats always up to the players so im not gonna discuss that too much.

My question though is that is he really bluffing? Say there's like 3 days left until mcbain becomes a ufa, and he gets a 3rd from the leafs, where mcbain wants to go. Does he not take that third instead of losing him for nothing?

Durzi definitely. He's already our QB on the second-unit power play. Which, given our PP, isn't saying much . . . but still . . .

Pretty sure all, if not an overwhelmingly majority of those trades are rejected
