Speaking specifically to the Scheifele trade, the value simply isn't there for WPG. A cost controlled, point per game #1C who is signed for another 2.5 years would command a much bigger return.

That seems like a pretty excessive return for Copp...Agree with @rooney on that being underwhelming for Scheifele as well. The other 3 are probably reasonable.

Feel like copp is a guy that teams love to have come playoff time and would absolutely overpay for

Have to think Toronto accepts this. Hasn't DeMelo been pretty solid for you guys? Would think the jets could haggle for another pick or mid tier prospect or something

They will have to give up at least one prospect if they are buying at the deadline. I feel like this would be less of a blow than some bigger name prospects

He is their best forward prospect. They would trade Kravtsov, Lundkvist, Robertson, Skinner all before him.

Boston isn't trading Debrusk for a 36 year old rental. They would rather have picks, or someone around his age who can play in the top 9 for the next 5 seasons at least.

Pittsburgh is pretty close to the cap and already have Crosby and Malkin up the middle, and aren't likely to trade them.

Boston won’t do that for Statsny

Jets wont do the Copp trade,. Does nothing for WPG.
Our needs are RHW and RHD, not LH anything

No to the DeMelo trade. Only reason to move DeMelo is for cap space and Holl defeats that… plus Holl is not needed in WPG

No to the Dillon trade. Dillon is worth more.

No to the Scheifele trade. If we trade him it’ll be for a 2C or top 4 RHD, not an LHD, which we don’t need

Fair point. I feel like they should trade him now rather than figure out a deal for him. His value is super high for a trade due to his style of play. Suggesting maybe a different player?

If we move Copp to NYR… I’m targeting Lundkvist

Fair. I'm worried about forward prospects depth behind perfetti and lucius. Back end has Samberg heinola which is already pretty good.

Highly unlikely the Jets do any of the deals. All of the targeted players don't fill and needs for the Jets.

Really hate that Dillon trade for the Jets, the Scheifele trade doesn't work for Winnipeg, Boston definitely declines, need a much better pick in the Toronto trade coming to the Jets, that's a bit much for Copp.

Picks and prospects aren't going to fill needs right away, maybe if I did them as buyers right now for this it would fill some needs. I feel they need some depth prospects and Picks to solidify their future.

Our RHD depth sucks.
We need RHW for when Wheeler finally gets the hell off the ice and out of the way.
I’m thinking about win now, not build for the future

True, the picks won't help now, but at the TDL buying teams are more likely to give up picks than roster players. However, it is more the players targeted as opposed to value or anything else. None of The players targeted do anything for the Jets.

That's fair. This was a situation where I had them selling rather than winning now. Definitely should have considered the rw position for this

I feel like Scheifele is a Ranger come the draft, makes too much sense not to do from both sides
