Description

Only other move I could see is trying to acquire a more established 2c/3c. Would probably require moving out Dube and/or Valimaki.
Not sure who that center could be though.

Just a guess at what the bottom 9 forward lines may look like. However, Pelletier may need another year of seasoning in the AHL which would push Dube onto the third line.

I don’t mind the dump but I think it could happen without the fourth. Not too bothered by it though.

It’s roughly equivalent to the Staal dump to me only we have a bunch of forwards. At worst we punch him down to line 4 and only have to suffer 1 year.

I’d be game for this trade. Super low risk for Detroit, and odds are Monahan can chip in 35-40 points easily as a 2C/3C

yeah and if he could somehow find his game again, he could be a real asset. Dude went 7 seasons in a row with 20+ goals, 3 of them with more than 30.
