No one is giving a good asset for Anderson would likely need to give a good asset to unload him and get a mid round pick maybe. His contact is terrible

Why is everyone trashing Anderson's contract? He's a steady 20+ goals pace kind of guy signed at 5.5 until he's just shy of 33 for a one of kind power forward bringing in elite speed.

He has broken 20 goals once in his career and only had more the 30 points once. He is a third line player very over paid

There are far too many Habs haters on this site who think none of the Habs players are any good or worth anything. Best option is to just ignore them and continue posting threads you know to be fair.

Pace.
2016-17: 17 (4 games missed). Close enough and he was a rookie
2017-18: 19 (19 games missed). Would've been in the bag.
2018-19: Check
2019-20: Season nagging shoulder injury thus we got a good deal on him.
2020-21: 17 (Shortened season). Would've checked.
2021-22: 15. Well on pace for this.
His speed will translate well into his 30's opposite to guys like Lucic and Simmonds who were below average skaters even in their prime years so I'm not afraid an once about this contract. Yes he misses games but it's part of his play style, I don't mind losing him 10 games a year because of what he gives me the in the other 72 .

Turcotte is not interesting enough. He’s not a top 5 pick in a re-draft. We can pick a center in the top 5 this year. No thanks.

Imagine a leafs fan commenting on how teams spend their cap space, and 40 mill on 4 players who have never won a thing is a pretty big whiff... i mean if wink
